Word Count: 100 on the first try! Whoot!
Pairing/Characters: The Bloody Baron, Slight Baron/Salazar
Author's Note: I don't think they ever mention what age the Baron is, or when he was alive, so... I'm taking a little artistic license here...
He didn't really remember much, these days. He just sort of floated around the dungeons, staring at the children, never speaking.
The one thing he did remember, though, was the thing most Slytherins whispered about in the night. "Never ask The Baron why he screams. Just pretend you didn't hear it."
Every night, as the sun went down, he remembered the death of his lover. The pain wracked his ghostly frame, wrenching silvery tears down his transparent face to stain his coat. (It wasn't really blood; that was just a story to cover the truth.)
Merlin, how he missed Salazar.
