Author’s Notes: I’m not sure this fulfils the challenge-rules, but if the dear mods decide it does not, then feel free to delete - this was the first thing coming to my mind when I read it (aka the challenge)
Draco lies on his childhood bed in his chambers at Malfoy Manor, eyes closed and lips bloodless. Harry stands near the headboard, mesmerized by his peaceful expression. If he didn’t know any better he could convince himself that Draco was only sleeping.
Ignoring Narcissa’s stony grey gaze he lies down beside Draco slowly. Their shoulders brush, hands touching.
Coldness.
As Harry turns his head he finally notices just how very still Draco is, chest unmoving.
Death doesn’t require breathing.
“We never had time for pillow talking,” Harry says, the eternal silence echoing in response. “We never had enough time, Malfoy.”
