It’s been five years since the battles ceased, but smoke still darkens in the air. We imagine it’s the same around the world; we lost communication to other wizards when the last bomb dropped.
We can't do much anymore. Owls no longer obey us, Animagi who took shape when it happened are trapped in their animal bodies. Magic is nonexistent.
It's easier for me because I’ve lived without magic. I can't imagine how the Purebloods are surviving. No wonder so many have gone insane.
We all thought Voldemort was going to destroy the world. The Muggles beat him to it.
