Notes: Ruminations on Sirius brought this to life.
It was all tilted askew.
His family had been Slytherin. He had sorted Griffindor.
He had mischievous James and studius Remus for friends.
He fled his parents, found the Potters.
He'd had trust, and Peter had given him betrayal.
Now there were no more factors to balance his life.
He had hunger, and the meals in Azkaban did not nourish.
He had loneliness, and the knowledge that the one who lived believed him a murderer made it torture.
He had sanity, but the screams of torment and the moan of Dementors were plucking that away as well.
Sirius became unbalanced.

Her sister hated and envied her, but now she had love.
She had been lonely, and he'd brought her friends.
He had been insufferable, but yet love had grown.
Her husband had been alone. Now she would give him a child.
Lily gazed tearfully down at the band of gold on her finger. She rested her hand on her belly.
"We'll grow old and die together, as is only right," she murmured, before turning to sleep curled against James.
They fit together perfectly. Like yin and yang.
