Title: Photographic Memory
House: Hufflepuff
Challenge: The Marauders
Word Count: 100
Characters: Remus
Author's Notes: Inspired by my all-time favorite fanfic, "A Simple Request" by Violet Azure

Just a few pictures, that was all he needed. Harry didn't have any and it would mean so much. Remus read Hagrid's note with a sigh and went to dig out a dusty box. Once the items inside hadn't been ignored in some dark corner, but displayed proudly, papering his walls with his dearest friends, all the stories they'd shared.

Who would tell Harry these stories? Stories of laughter and brotherhood, before the shadow fell over everything...He needed to know.

Remus sighed and chose a simple wedding picture instead. Harry needed to know, but Remus...just couldn't tell him.

Title: True Reflection
House: Hufflepuff
Challenge: The Marauders
Word Count: 100
Characters: Peter

They said your animagus form reflected who you were inside. All four boys had laughed and joked about it as they'd struggled to master the transformation. Wouldn't it be awful to be a dung-beetle? Surely they'd be a hawk or a lion, something grand and wild.

James had become a stag -- proud, graceful, and regal.

Sirius, of course, was the dog -- playful and loyal, utterly devoted to his pack.

And Peter...Small, insignificant Peter, so easily lost in a crowd. No one really wondered why he'd become a rat.

But above all else, rats are known for their survival instinct.

Title: Happy Thoughts
House: Hufflepuff
Challenge: The Marauders
Word Count: 100
Characters: Sirius

Sirius Black lived in Hell for twelve years. Not the lake of fire and brimstone manned by a funny man in a red suit. The real Hell, Sirius knew, was cold and dank, and the only devils were Dementors who glided in and feasted on every last happy memory until they left you with only misery and despair.

But Sirius had a secret. The Dementors could take away every last happy thought in his head, but they couldn't touch the two that kept him sane.

Peter had betrayed them.

And someday Sirius would show him what real Hell was like.
