Author's Notes: This wasn't what I expected to write, but there you go. Oh, and character death, even though I think this is quite fluffy.
James was obsessed with Lily and everyone teased him about it, his friends more then anyone else. No one expected it, though, when she agreed to go to Hogsmeade with him in their 7th year.
His friends were there to provide support in the form of cat-calls and lewd comments when the young couple walked into Madame Puddifoot’s together, but they were also there in the dark of the night to cheer when he said, ‘I think she likes me.’
But later they were dispersed and James did not have them with him but remembered that triumph as he died.
