Right, so, the winner this week is Hufflepuff. I'm sure about that much. It's something like 700 to 400-odd is next (Slytherin), then Ravenclaw, then Gryffindor. The reason I'm unsure as to the point totals? Okay, so I've gotten a couple of questions recently as to whether drabbles are to be exactly 100 words. So, though usually I only check ones that look really unlikely, this week I checked them all. I pasted into Word, asked for a count, then if it was not 100, counted by hand because sometimes Word has quirks that would account for a 99 or 101 that a human would call 100.
However, this means I have been counting for over two hours. And, TEN drabbles were not 100, of which NINE were Slytherin (I do wonder whether I ought to draw a conclusion from that?). Between figuring all that and the number of serial drabbles this week (with similar titles) and the illness noted below? Yeah. So very lost. I'm glad Hufflepuff wound up way ahead so I could at least be sure who won! If anyone else wants to count the total number then subtract nine from Slytherin and one from Hufflepuff, maybe we can come to an exact total, if anyone's really worried about the details. Gah.
In other news: The winner of the poll from last week's contest is
London's Werewolf in America, by

Now, then. I've had a rough week that involved four trips to the doctor, intravenous drugs, lots of ice and painkillers, and a big inexplicable swollen face after days of swollen glands and stuff, so what you get for this week's challenge is a reflection of my week.
Challenge #99: Swollen. That might be a swollen spring river, a sprained ankle, a pregnant belly, a teacher trying to cram more new material into a course syllabus...
Have fun!
As ever: titles in subject lines, and 100 words exactly, please.
