James looked over the edge of his Astronomy book and snorted, "Trust me, Padfoot, I’m not. She already turned me down. Twice."
Sirius snorted and scowled, "Since when did that ever stop the Marauders?"
If looks could kill, Sirius would have died on the spot. "Since one of us is getting really damned tired of rejection. Hell, I could ask any girl to the school and they would say yes. In a bloody heartbeat."
"Then why don’t you?"
James just sighed and refused to answer. Because all I want is Lily.

He looked at her with desire lighting his eyes, and asked, "Are you sure you don’t have room for desert?"
"What did you have in mind?" A flirtatious look.
Touching her hair, he asked, "What do you think?"
