Hedwig dropped a fresh pickled toad in front of him for breakfast. It was…pink. It…moved. He shuddered. Ron teased and Hermione stiffled giggles.
More toads followed, for months afterwards. And while Harry twisted in his bed at night, dreaming of pink slimy toads, the Giant Squid grinned with pleasure. It was good having a lot of arms and a daily supply of pickled toads…
