door.
“Enter.”
“Headmaster, may we have a word?” Madame Pomfrey inquired.
“Of course, please sit.”
“Thank you. I wish to discuss the familiars currently allowed at Hogwarts. I'd like you to consider removing toads as possible pets.”
“Whatever for?” Dumbledore asked.
“Recently a student received a toad as a gift from a family member. A bufo alvarius, in
fact.”
“Forgive me but I'm unaware of the problem.”
“Sir, the venom of these particular toads has...hallucenogenic properties. Several
Gryffindors are in my ward riding out the effects."
