I don't know how JKR will wind up describing it. But I think, I think, that in OotP she made it sound like they missed each other. And that they weren't "quite downhearted" just because they'd trusted somebody who'd turned out to be a hateful wretch.

I was afraid I hadn't balanced them properly, maybe not made Rowena's serious enough, but I assume Godric was closest and I was still under the influence of the Helga/Salazar drabbles from last challenge.

I tend to figure he was both at the heart of the fight and the worst hurt. But I'm not sure he'd say.

I find it interesting that, until you reach Rowena, the drabble could be about Severus Snape. Wonderful!

Well, I'm sure the same could have been said about any Slytherin Masters. They seems to be a difficult bunch.
