Hermione swore, vehemently.
“Hermione? Are you all right?” Harry asked.
Ron looked at her nervously.
“I can’t get any of my quills to work!” Hermione exclaimed in frustration.
“How can quills malfunction?” Harry asked.
“Feathers are very sensitive to magic,” Ron explained. “That’s why we learned levitation on them. If a witch is overtired, her magic can affect her quill.”
“Oh,” Hermione said unhappily.
“You need to take a break,” Ron said. “Let’s take a walk.”
“Oh. Okay.”
After Ron and Hermione left, Harry took the Weasley Won’t Write Quills out of Hermione’s bag and put her real ones in.
