Author Notes: Think this takes place during Christmas hols in Harry’s 6th year…can you tell I can't sleep?
The gray light of dawn was already seeping into the Gryffindor common room, but the pressure behind Harry’s right eye hadn’t abated.
He hadn’t been able to sleep properly for ages - not since the Ministry, and he was developing migraines from the insomnia. It was easier to sleep after dawn, after Ron and Hermione were awake - he found he couldn’t sleep if they were.
Crookshanks padded down the stone steps, and landed on the sofa with a soft “whumph.”
“Hey, Crooks,” Harry muttered, scratching behind his ears.
Crookshanks settled down for a nap, purring, and Harry felt a little better.
