He knows they miss him. He knows the tears, their broken voices, they way they whisper about him, sharing memories of the time Fred and George turned his teddy into a giant spider. He knows they remember him with love in their eyes, sadness in their hearts.

Sometimes he looks in on them at night, remembering the warm dormitory. Hermione sleeps restlessly, Ginny quietly, rolled to her ears in Hermione's sheets. Harry curls into a ball, looking small in one bed corner. Sometimes they shiver when he enters the room.

He rubs the Mark and waits for the right time.

Title: She Sleeps
House: Ravenclaw
Words: 100

Ginny has never slept well, even when she was a baby. Mum says it's because she had six older brothers constantly yelling, pounding, and fighting, poking her and trying to Charm her hair green.

When Hermione visits, Ginny lies propped on one elbow and watches her enviously. Hermione never wakes, even though she sleeps with her arms outstretched, eyes fluttering, fingers twitching like she's taking notes in her dreams.

After their first time, Ginny puts her rumpled copper head on Hermione's freckled shoulder and kisses the golden place on her neck. It's the first time she's even fallen asleep first.
