Title: Stealth
House: Gryffindor
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Bill/Tonks
Author's Notes: Because I apparently can't write without a challenge, I took requests from my friends list for our free week. This is for Bill/Tonks true believer
ragdoll. It immediately follows Tonks' being injured at the Ministry at the end of OotP.
He had never imagined that someone as colorful as Tonks could look so pale.
Bill rubbed his temples and slumped in his chair. He was exhausted, but when he closed his eyes, he saw her limp body tumbling down stone steps, him not there to catch her.
At last, she stirred and opened her eyes. "There's my love," she said, managing a weak smile for him.
He'd hoped that they'd soon have a frank talk about their burgeoning relationship, but he'd never quite imagined it happening at St. Mungo's.
He laughed. "Love, eh?"
"Told you I was lousy at stealth."
Title: Lines
House: Gryffindor
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Remus/Sirius
Author's Notes: This is for
regala_electra, who gave me much of the second line as a jumping-off point. A very smallish moment in which Sirius shows up to "lie low at Lupin's."
There is a dog at his door.
Padfoot's unmistakable eyes stare up at him, unblinking. But Remus stands in the doorway for a long while, unable to move, fearful of breaking the fragility of this uneasy silence. A grumpy growl breaks his reverie, and he feels warm fur brush past his legs.
In an instant, Sirius has transformed. Remus notices the furrowed brow first, then the delicate worry lines at the corners of his still-elegant mouth. And suddenly, quite to his surprise, he is filled with a strong desire to touch it.
Remus swallows. Thinks. Clears his throat. Resists.
Title: Fan Club
House: Gryffindor
Word Count: 100
Characters/Pairings: Sirius, James, Remus, Lily
Author's Notes: For
mllemoony, who wanted post-prank fallout involving Sirius being irritated by Remus turning to Lily for support. Which is sort of what she got, anyway. I've always thought that James saving Snape's life might have had something to do with Lily softening towards her future husband.
"Oh, excellent. Our fan club arrives."
James turns to see Remus and Lily entering the Great Hall, deep in conversation.
"Prefect business I suppose," James says, shrugging and returning to his eggs.
"More like a tutoring session in how to ignore us worthless lot. Evans could teach a master class in how to not give Marauders the time of day and love it!"
"He does not love this and you know it. He needs time."
Sirius is quiet, his anger quelled by reason.
James glances over at them, and for a moment, he swears that Lily is smiling at him.
