Author Note: Can’t take total credit for the idea - I ran across the phrase “Muggle Herbology” in a fan fiction once, and I couldn’t stop laughing…decided to make a drabble out of it : -) Oh, and sorry for the double-post - probably should have combined, but I got this idea after I'd already posted, and wanted to sneak it in before the challenge ended! :lol:

It's clever, and I like it, but I think you need to add another word to get credit for it -- I think (and someone please correct me if I am wrong) that they have to be exactly 100 words to count.

Oh, wow, I didn't know that...I thought less was okay...I just thought it couldn't be OVER 100.

Well, I've seen contradictory instructions to both effects, so I've just gone with exactly 100 to be on the safe side. It says something about 100 or fewer somewhere, but it says exactly somewhere else. I guess we should appeal to a moderator for clarification.

Based on Winding_Path's comment, here's a version with 100 words, just in case...

Title: Herbology
House: Hufflepuff
Words: 100 (phew!)
Challenge: Law
Characters: Harry, Hermione, Remus, Sirius. (Ron’s there, he’s just being quiet : -) )
Author’s Notes: Missing Moment, some time during OOTP.

“Well, I don’t fancy being a banker. I thought about being a Healer, but it’s loads of extra studying, not that I’d mind, of course, but I was hoping for something a bit more - ”

Harry squirmed uncomfortably - as proud as he was of Hermione’s brains, he wished she’d shut up for a moment about choosing their career track.

“Take your best subject, Harry, and go from there,” Lupin advised, noticing his discomfort.

“What was your best subject?” Harry asked Sirius, who was smoking a cigarette lazily.

“Herbology,” Sirius replied, with his winning-est smile.

Lupin snorted.

“Mostly the illegal kind.”
