i read this entry in its entirety, then wrote a response. then in my reread i realized that it actually didnt have anything to do with biological determinism, but instead me getting on my soapbox about how much i love feminism but hate feminists.

really i tend to think that men and women are much more alike than different. aside from sexual parts, all people are pretty much the same. there are some men that are stereotypically emotional and some women who are extremely driven and agressive. especially in the world today where stay at home dads and becoming much more popular and "middlesex" can win the pulitzer (2003 i think), the gender lines are being blurred. there are certainly hormones that cause people to behave a certain way, which i guess could be a strong arguement for this theory. i still, however, would probably tend to steer away from BD. i guess really i dont think that any of this should be important in the first place. M or F should not be required on job applications. i mean wouldnt people call an employer racist if on the application you had to pick B, W, H or Other. but thats me getting back on the soapbox.
