Oh. My. God. This was... FECKING AMAZINGNow, to understand the depth of that statement, let me make this very clear up front: I usually DESPISE (all caps for a reason) cross-gen sex fics. It's one of my least favorite types of pairings. In fact, I'd rather read a Voldemort having sex with someone fic before a fic that stars someone older involved with someone younger. Also, infidelity fics are usually uncomfortable for me as well (I've written one and it was difficult for me to get through). It hurts me to read them

Your comment was so, so complimentary, after I read it I was walking around all day with the most ridiculous smile on my face. I'm SO glad that this got you reading cross-gen if that's not normally your thing. I really like writing sort of taboo things, like cross-gen, infidelity, incest... and bringing a different twist to them.

Yeah, I was sort of trying to make not everybody good, not everybody bad. I wanted people to feel sorry for Al, but not that sorry because he's such a dick.

Thank you so much for this lovely comment. I pride myself on the hotness of my sex scenes, which is ironic because I don't really like writing them. I am a huge fan of irony, but.

Comedy, however, I love writing, and I'm glad you seemed to like some of my more comedic lines.

I'm echoing a lot of what rzzmg up there said. I haven't read any cross-gen pairings before this fest, and I'm not one infidelity, but by Merlin this story. GAH!

Poor Al. I really felt for him at the end.

And of course, if the affair came out, so many people would get hurt. :(

Loved the smatterings of Scorpius' love life, too.

And the smut. That was just WOWZER! Especially loved the shower scene.

I really did enjoy this story. I think it helped that your characters seemed so real. Their reactions and emotions were very believeable.

It was an interesting situation, and sometimes in fic you can really let loose. You did wonderfully with the prompts given.

Gay!Scorpius! was a lot of fun. I'd be half tempted to go that route with my own next gen story if I weren't so attached to the idea of him and Rose. ;)

Mmm. It's great to be able to let loose, definitely.

I totally love Rose/Scorpius too, and I've written them a few times. I can however also see a scenario where Scorp is Rose's gay best friend and Rose is getting involved with... I dunno. Someone scandalous. I like twisted situations.

Yeah, smut... I find it difficult, probably because I'm, er, not the most sexual of beings IRL. Mainly I draw inspiration from other stuff I've read. Seems to work. :)

I'm really proud of this, and I'm so glad that hp_porninthesun gave me the chance to go for it. I love this fest, and while I have total confidence in your replacement, it's not going to be the same without you at the reins.
