Curse this skin!
So I move to antigonish nova scotia and try to settle into this small town and make it a "homey" as possible. so I try to do some things that i would normally do at home. I joined the radio station. i have to play 85% canadian content which bites, but there are some pretty foxy boys around the station so i think i can deal with the extra work that goes into finding canadian music.
Next I was like: "antigonish has a theatre? I'm going to try out!" so i went down to the theatre and picked up the script for the play and i read and liked it. then i auditioned and the director was like: "oh tito you're so good...you'd be perfect for this part...but your black!" You see, the part requires the character to put on a disguise that tricks the audience and seeing as i'm the only black kid hanging around the theatre at the moment the whole world would know it's me therefore i wouldn't fool anyone. the upside is i'll get a part in the play for sure (even if it's not the one i want) and there's a really foxy young lad who works in box office who i'm determined to make friends with.
I'm having some trouble filling my time up. i'm not used to lots of free time. i will change this by joining lots of societies.
School is really good...i've met some really good people and the hot boy ratio in antigonish is pretty high. so far my plan to find people who were replicas of my old friends has failed. but maybe that's a good thing cause i could never really replace you guys and meeting new people is always interesting. AND lots of people have eastern accents which is AWESOME and there are random outburst of bagpipes all the time (particular when people get really drunk) which is also pretty wicked.
