What I've Learned in '05

Dec 31, 2005 18:10

This was one of the most eventful and fulfilling years I've ever lived. It's easy to say, then, that I've learned a lot:

1. Happiness is all we really need out of life.

2. Opposites don't always attract.

3. Don't forget your roots. A flower with no roots is a dead flower.

4. You will always have feelings for a person, though how much changes throughout time. Once you start, it doesn't stop.

5. The people who understand you the most are your friends.

6. The key to being with someone is not to change yourself to fit their wants. A person who does that loses their true self in the process.

7. The tips of ink pens are call nibs.

8. In just one year, through faith and hard work, you can go from being at the bottom of the barrel to the top of the mountain.

9. To be a good actor, the ideas and actions of the character you're portraying must always be with you throughout the day.

10. Dole Paradise Blend Fruit Juice is pretty damn good, even though it may look weird.

11. Guys are dicks, yet girls are stupid.

12. Always be there for your siblings. They'll be there for you.

13. Gossip will never, never, NEVER EVER NEVER leave the world. It feeds us, and without it, we are nothing.

14. The Beatles may be the best musical act of all time, but Bob Dylan is the greatest songwriter, and nothing can top the Clash's London Calling.

15. You don't even have to see or hear the voice of a person for them to have such a stronge influence on your life.

16. A person who doesn't feel for themself can not have anyone else feel for them.

17. Look for what's best for everyone else, not just yourself.

18. Music, not always quietness, is the key to relaxation and peace.

19. Be thanful that you're around. There are some who aren't.

20. All's well ends well.

That's just the way it is.
Happy New Year!
