Netflix This!

I'm so glad I saw an article in Entertainment Weekly about the Amy Heckerling romantic comedy I Could Never Be Your Woman a couple of weeks ago, because otherwise I probably never would've known it existed. And that would have been a shame, because given that Amy was the brains behind my favorite movie 4ever and always Clueless, I'm always interested in anything she does, and as an added bonus, it stars Paul Rudd, who ever since Clueless has basically been the man of my dreams. Anyway, I Could Never Be Your Woman was supposed to be a theatrical release, but due to several miscellaneous snafus, it ended up going straight to DVD. I had the chance to watch it this afternoon, and I loved it!

1. Paul Rudd is charming, goofy, and freaking dreamy.

2. As the daughter of Michelle Pfeiffer's character, Saoirse Ronan is a total scene-stealer, and not in an annoying precocious way. She just seems cool. (And Saorise is now an Oscar nominee for Atonement!!)

3. Paul Rudd dances crazy!!

4. The soundtrack is delish and random, featuring music from The Cure, a rather lol-tastic Michael Jackson song, the mid-90's oddity "Your Woman" by White Town, and a little gem from Blink 182 called "Dammit."

5. Paul Rudd. <3

6. If you're into meta-humor like me, since Pfeiffer's character works on a TV show, there's plenty of it in this movie.

7. PAUL RUDD.

8. Clueless fans will appreciate that Amy cast some of its stars in this movie, like Stacey Dash, Twink Caplan, Wallace Shawn and...

9. Paul Rudd!!!!

10. When it was over I had a smile on my face! If that's not a sign of fine entertainment, I don't know what is.

Check it out, kids!

And randomly, I'm really excited because I finally found a layout I'm happy with, and I also figured out how to install a custom mood theme! I went with a Gossip Girl theme. (Yay, it's coming back on soon since the writer's strike is over!) Maybe now I'll be more motivated to write here.

meta, brb fangirling, movies, mmm paul rudd
