Buffy Summers:

“Hey…” a lithe figure stood beside the young woman by the large gravestone. Her voice was soft, reassuring but it didn’t mask the numb feeling in her tone. Buffy Summers’ hand slowly pet Dawn’s long brown locks as her older sister hugged her sibling closer to her. Memories, an abundance of them had seeped into her thoughts. The friend she had let go all those years ago… because he wanted to be a vampire. He wanted to be eternal. Buffy frowned.

The long bit of silence had finally subsided as she let those hazel-green hues stare down to the not much shorter Dawn.

“Dawnie… it’s going to be okay.” Buffy couldn’t promise the world or that they’d all make it out okay…but she could promise revenge.

“He was my friend.” Dawn cried softly, sniffling as she wiped her eyes with a hand.

“I just don’t get…why this happens… Buffy…shouldn’t it be different now?” the girl tipped her chin up to look at her older sister and shook her head.

Buffy grit her teeth and then bit down on the coral colored, bottom lip.

“It should be different… we need to give it time.”

“How much time?” the brunette asked, as she folded her arms across her chest.

“As much time as you need.” Buffy replied thoughtfully.

Ana Lucia:

A chuckle was heard as those eyelids snapped open. Ana Lucia's drowsy state had her gaze right on the shadow in the darkness, despite the torches outside. It was dark on the inside of her tent. They knew her name... quirking an eyebrow had the Spanish woman slowly began to fumble her hand around the dirt for a flashlight, and then remembered they had no flashlights. Wake up, Ana. This was the jungle.

"Jack.." that raspy voice began, as she cleared her throat in hopes of not sounding half dead. Slowly, the thin girl began to sit up, and stared at him for a great while before finally clearing her throat again. And she would have killed him, had this been...any other time.

"Need something?"

Other Situation:

It had just occurred to her in her state of not only leadership, but also panic... there had been someone on the ground. And that someone just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Balling a tanned slender hand into a fist did Ana Lucia look to Hurley for a split second, watching the man on the underbrush out of the corner of her hazel eyes.

"Take her to safety." was all she said, before the Latina headed over to the moaning figure on the ground.

"Get up." that harsh husky voice began. And when he was too weak to, the woman shook her head as she grit her teeth, grasping onto the man by his arm, and yanked him up. Reeling back a slender arm did she immediately deck the person in the face, directly knocking him out.

With a huff, Ana began to steady the nearly dead weight, though he had been a little boney ...and definitely thin, over her shoulder, and began to trudge forward.
