okay, so DINOSAUR JR!!! was the most amazing show i've ever been to. truly...just...unspeakably wonderful. j mascis blew me away, he's so incredible. they played all my favorites (nearly everything on "you're living all over me" except poledo, score), in a jar, raisans, lose, and even their cover of just like heaven, my favorite cure song. in fact, the placement of those key songs was superb. "in a jar" was second, "raisans" was the last song of the main part of the show, "just like heaven" opened the first encore, and "lose" was the second encore. aaaahhh, brilliant. the opening bands were good too. first, the magic markers, a no wave band, and then bardo pond, who sounded like a more rock'n'roll my bloody valentine, perhaps crossed with dinosaur jr. they both played forever, dinosaur didn't come on till nearly 11:30, and they played for nearly an hour and a half, so all in all we were there for about 4 and a half hours. i was so tired when it was over, but it was so worth it. i'll never see a show like that again, anyone out there who has the chance to see them live MUST do it. brian and i were really pissed we didn't bring any cameras, footage of dinosaur jr would have made the movie. oh well, i'll never forget it.
