hi all -

I have a simple question -

I will be working merch for The Skatalites next week and I will also be interviewing Doreen Shaffer.

Is there any questions that you'd like me to ask?

I have a good list going, but I'd like to get other peoples' opinions.

Thanks!!!

-joanna

That is awesome..Doreen Shaffer is such an adrable little woman..:)..I fell in love with her when She and The Skatalites played in Oslo,I think every body that was at the concert did..It was at a place that only took about 400 people..and it was cramed..:)

Maybe ask her about how it was to be a woman in such a male dominated industry that the ska/reggae music-scene was and still is,and how she coped with it and who her inseperations was..If you dont have that written down already..:)

I have something somewhat similar. I'm really interested in her early career, since not much is known about it (well, that I can find).

I also want to ask about the whole copyright thing, too.

she's incomparable. but one thing is, i'm really confused of all the different spellings of her lastname(Schaeffer, Schaffer, etc...), i believe it is SHAFFER but i sure need an affirmation.

ok i think i have a question... of all the singers she had a duet with, did she liked best(musically)? and who would she want to sing with that didn't actually happen.

thanks jo!

that's a good question!

Also, I'm pretty sure its "shaffer". That's what I've seen it as the most over the years (and on sites like wikipedia). Plus, I have a poster in my living room with her name splled that way.
