Valley of 10,000 Smokes photos
FINALLY! They are up!
I literally have almost a thousand photos from this trip which is why it has taken me so long to post them online. I had to whittle them down to 175 photos that cover 4 days and then resize them and the whole nine yards before I uploaded them to Flickr. After that I had to tag them all and give them all descriptions, and that alone took me two days straight.
Valley of 10,000 Smokes Backpacking Trip
This was easily, hands-down, the coolest, most awe-inspiring, biggest adventure I've ever had. It really made an impact on me. It is one of those things I am very eager to share, but I am well aware that it is SUCH a unique place, the scope of it so ridiculously huge that even the best photos don't convey what it was like. Talking to other people who have actually been there is just like some war veteran talking to a fellow vet; unless you've been there, you cannot know.
I hope y'all take some time to check out my pics. I know there are a lot, sorry. This adventure means a lot to me and I just couldn't boil it down any further. The photos are in chronological order and I tried to use them to describe our journey via the photo descriptions. So if you look at every picture and read the notes, you'll get the gist of what we did.
I wrote a journal entry about it when I got back to camp after the trip. I will post it here in a bit. For one, text loads faster, and two, I describe everything - what I saw, how I felt, and my thoughts.
