Hey, I was wonderin' if you minded if I took a few days off. I been tired as all get-out lately, and with all this lockdown BS goin' on, I'm like losin' my mind. Was gonna see about getting a little training done to kinda...center my head a bit, I guess. I've finished up everything to-date, and I ain't plannin' on bein' gone more'n a week, so I figure you can prolly handle that, yah? You could still call me back if shit hits the fan, of course; I'll be in Rukongai, so a butterfly should still reach me no problem; I'll have my communicator but it may not always be accessible. Ukitake-soutaichou, this is Captain Abarai of Fifth; I would like to request permission to go on a training exercise in Rukongai for a few days. I'm hoping perhaps Zabimaru and I can find some sort of foothold to try and reverse whatever it is that's causing the connections between Shinigami and zanpakutou to deteriorate. Your stamp of approval on the venture would make it infinitely easier to get out of Seireitei, after all. I would, of course, still be reachable by butterfly or communicator (or Urahara-phone, naturally) if things get unexpectedly ugly. Lemme know what'cha think. Thanks!
