so i went to work today cause my ankle was feeling better. the new guy is there and was brewing tea, only something was wrong and it was going everywhere. he'd turned it off so i started to pull out the basket the tea brews in, only the hot water had filled up the basket completely and it spilled all over my wrist and hand.
one panicky trip to the e.r. later, i have a gauze-covered hand and ointment. turns out i have second degree burns, the worst on my wrist because i was wearing a long-sleeved shirt and the water soaked into it and held it against my skin. and i'm off work again and can't drive again [like my ankle, it was my right]. sigh. i'm an accident waiting to happen this week apparently.
