A slow, thoroughly pleased smile spreads across Grace's face when she catches sight of a head of wonderful blue hair.
"I'll be back," she tells Alanna. Without waiting for permission -- which is completely against the rules her mom had insisted upon before they came, but Grace had crossed her toes when she swore, so that's okay -- she heads over to Ingress, doing a twirl on the way.

There had been a bit of belligerence in Grace's eyes until Ingress waves. It vanishes with the reassurance that the other girl will welcome her company. Grace is glad she decided to like this one.
"Okay. Uncle Raph made those once. Jamie got melted chocolate everywhere." So embarrassing. "You look older."

Ingress nods.
"I wasn't going to stay in Haven until after my birthday this year. But then the Queen died, and it made no sense to go home one more year, so I've been in Haven at the Collegium since I was eleven."

"The Collegium?" Grace moves closer, curious; she is also trying to ignore her mother, who has angled her body this way like she's eavesdropping. "What is it like?"

Grace's mother is absolutely eavesdropping from her spot by (practically in) the fireplace. She leans sideways so she can see Ingress better and cracks one eye open, then the other, sending her young friend an affectionate wink.

Ingress notices Alanna and grins.
"It's brilliant. I have classes that are interesting and sometimes hard. I practice weaponry and riding every day. I still serve at court sometimes, and even having to do chores isn't so bad. Megwyn's happy to be home with the other Companions, and I've made some really good friends."

Grace does her best not to wrinkle her nose in a delicate, disturbed fashion. It is something she has seen the ladies at court do, and thus something she has been practicing.
"That sounds... strenuous." She flashes a bright smile, lest Ingress thinks she disapproves in any way other than being very glad her own days are in no way similar. "Are all your friends in training, too?"
There is also a stash of s'more ingredients and neatly cut roasting sticks near the fireplace. Just in case, you understand.
Settle in!

Even comfortable boots don't keep your feet from getting sore, however, so Ingress flops onto an armchair and eyes the roasting sticks.
S'mores??? She hasn't had a s'more since she was a little girl at a lake party!

"Hullo."

It's clear this is a compliment.

She tilts her head, considering.

Mithros, she's proud of the girl.

No, it's not a word, but it is the most accurate description.

"Hullo," she calls out, waving at them. "Come have a s'more! Or three - they're quite small treats."
