(no subject)
So, I watched the Castle finale last night, boy did that hurt. I hate cliffhangers for TV series, I really do, I never like them, and they are completely pointless in most cases because generally the cliffhanger is centred around OMG IS THE MAIN CHARACTER GOING TO DIE??! To which you say, NO, MORONS, They're not, we know they're not, because they're the main character, so this whole suspense thing you're trying to create by having a cliffhanger just isn't working, so why bother? All you're doing is pissing me off.
On a positive note, Stana Katic can ACT. I mean, obviously, but those last three episodes in particular I was just blown away by her, and when Castle was dragging her away from Montgomery and she was basically wailing I just wanted her to stop so badly.
And OH MONTGOMERY!! I forgive you for being evil! I do! And I know you weren't really evil and you kept her safe all these years but I forgive you anyway and I wish you'd come back. You were going to retire! And go on cruises with your wife and watch your children grow up and now you can't do those things and my heart aches for you!
And Ryan and Esposito! I have never loved either of them more than the moment when they realise Montgomery was the third cop and beat each other up because they don't want it to be true, heartbreaking.
Plus, Rick Castle = Love. And Nathan Fillion just does the most wonderful things with him, he's so in love with her and he'll take her any way she'll let him except that she won't let him and he HURTS! He hurts and hurts and just keeps showing up and it's wonderful.
*Sigh*
Also, I found this picture a few days ago on Amazon, and I really love it and wanted to share it.
When I first saw it I thought it was a promotional still, but then I realised that Tahmoh and Kandys are playing with electrical stuffs and that it must just be a candid of them on set, and I think it's just really lovely, the two of them slumped together, Grace between Trucco's legs staring off into the distance, and then Trucco and Jamie both eyeballing the camera in completely different ways, but ways that are completely them. Trucco is awesome and suave and Jamie is devastating. This is just how he looks. It hurts.
