So I a couple of weeks ago taragel and I were having a discussion about our favourite Snarky Blonde Short-Haired Tomboys, off the back of our mutual love of Starbuck and Watts, and she recommended I watch Samantha because of Martha Plimpton in that movie is one of her (and now mine) favourite SBSH-TBs.

So, being the kind of person I am, I went a-searching ( Read more... )

Was there EVER a chance that I was NOT going to love it? I honestly don't think that there was. WATCH IT AGAIN!!! DO IT! I MAKE NO APOLOGIES for shamelessly stacking up your rewatch list. NO APOLOGIES DO YOU HEAR ME!

There are lots of similarities between them and pilots, just the oh-so-casual-but-not-casual-at-all-really way they talk to each other, and I don't know if you remember this scene because it's probably been a while since you watched it, but the part where he finds her trying to recreate her birh experience and he tells her not to be naked anymore is just a total piloty mixture of friendship and restraint and love and physical attraction. *sigh*

Is it supposed to be a horror movie?!

Twin sisters I just thought was ridiculous, and looked a little bit soft-porn-y so I was surprised that they even made a trailer for it, but I was thinking while I was writing it that it sounds a lot like the premise of Ringer. I watched the preview for it the other day and it looks creepy and interesting, so I probably will check it out. Along with like, the twenty other things that I'm already watching and new stuff as well. Sigh. There's just not enough time for all the television. I'm going to have to give up sleep.

LOL. Yes of course I remember her naked on the floor with the birth scene recreation. HEEE. He is so weary/resigned but clearly loves her. Oh goodness now I have to find a way to see it again. Sigh. I do have a VCR in the basement somewhere.

I think Leprechaun is supposed to be a horror movie, isn't it? Honestly I've never seen.

Oh tell me about it re: television. I already watch more than most human people do I'm pretty sure.

Good :D It's such a lovely scene! GET IT OUT! Go find your VCR! HAve a revival! Wear tube socks and eat Nerds and drink Snapple! Do it!

Well, I don't know, I just can't imagine anyone ever taking it seriously enough to be scared of it.

You do watch a lot, it's true, oh to be a cylon, they don't need sleep if they don't want to right?

FYI-- Martha Plimpton joined twitter, so I tweeted my love of Samantha to her. Sadly no response yet.
