huh
Yesterday I was supposed to meet a new friend for coffee, but they stood me up. I am quite honestly slightly flabbergasted (as if one can be only slightly flabbergasted) at the idea, a little miffed, a little hurt, and quite indignant.
At first I thought, well, maybe something came up, so I wasn't worried or upset. My phone had also died at some point in the day, so I thought maybe they called. But after checking all my messages and not receiving anything, I see that I really was stood up.
It doesn't bother me so much to have taken time out of my day, made plans and foregone all other plans, but it really bothers me that someone would be so inconsiderate as to not apologize for leaving someone hanging.
I am irked.
But I really like my use of a wide variety of adjectives in this post.
