These rules are for general play (*snaps off a salute* "General Play!"  Ha, that was actually totally unintentional, lol). Use as many or as few as you wish depending on your desired level of inebriation. Rules may be modified or altered for specific episodes, but don't even THINK about trying the "But, Um" episode. You WILL die of alcohol poisoning...

Kat's Unofficially Official HIMYM Drinking Game:

Drink one...
1) When Barney hits on a girl
2) When Barney takes a girl home
3) If Lily is drinking wine at McClarens
4) When Robin complains about her love life
5) When anyone says "awesome"
6) For each person drinking a beer onscreen

Drink two...
1) When Barney says "Suit up!", "Legen-wait for it-dary" (or any variations thereof), or "Challenge accepted!"
2) If there's a flashback or cut-away segment
3) If Marshall or Lilly use the names Marshmellow or Lilypad
4) If Lily says "You sonofabeetch"
5) If Ranjit is driving whatever means of conveyance they're taking
6) Whenever you see a yellow umbrella

Finish your drink or do a shot if...
1) Ted's red cowboy books make an appearance
2) The goat is in the apartment
3) Robin goes totally Canadian
4) Marshall slaps Barney... Right in his face.
5) Anyone sings
