This morning I awoke with a terrible headache and a stuffy nose.  I sincerely hope I am not acquiring the flu, because that would be unfortunate.  I have decided, after patient analyzation of those of my future classmates that I have met via these most intriguing chronicles, that they are not all bad.  Some of them truly seem to be interesting.

Not so much hurt and defensive as surprised and taken aback. I suppose it comes with the territory of text-based communication that misunderstandings arise.
So, why not try this again. See you in class, where we can find out if we're going to get along or not. Hm?

Perhaps that was the origin of the misunderstanding, although I like to think I am expressive enough in my text-based communications to show at least some degree of emotion.

But yes, I shall see you there, where that will be determined.
