Thailand status update

I've been thinking that I should update this thing with news from my trip, but I'm usually too lazy to. However, I just wrote an e-mail which contained what I've been doing for the last few days. Pointers in C and C++ refer to the memory address of a variable instead of the actual value of it. They're useful for linking pieces of data together. It has nothing to do with a computer's IP.

Also: You have my promises to stay quiet about Harry Potter 7.
Also also: I want a souvenir from Thailand. Shape memory alloy will do nicely ;-)

I'll see what I can do about shape memory alloy. On the one hand, one of the professors I know has a giant roll of it and might not mind giving me some. On the other hand, it's like a dollar a foot, so he might have issue.
