1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Wrapping paper - I love to wrap Christmas presents and tying fun ribbons.
2. Real tree or Artificial?
Real, definitely. Except last year when we got these fabulous white artificial trees that played music and did a light show. It was incredibly tacky but so tacky that it really was okay again.
3. When do you put up the tree?
two or three weeks before Christmas -- we usually try to cut our own tree so it depends when we have time to make it to the farm.
4. When do you take the tree down?
Mid-January -- we always have people lingering at our house until sometime after New Years.
5. Do you like eggnog?
NO.
6. Favorite gift received as a child?
Not sure I really had one.
7. Clear or colored lights?
Clear although sometimes we'll add one string of all purple or red lights.
8. Easiest person to buy for?
Kris
9. Do you have a nativity scene?
No.
10. Best Christmas gift you ever received?
That's hard -- probably my TIVO if I have to pick.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
socks
12. Favorite Christmas Movie?
I don't really have one I love them all.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?
I try to get things throughout the year and then madly try to finish in December.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
Yes
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Christmas breakfast -- Stollen bread, scrapple, fried eggs.
16. Lights on the tree?
Absolutely!
17. Favorite Christmas song?
O Holy Night -- but I adore all Christmas Carols really.
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
In the past we've alternated home and Oregon. This year we are going back East.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
Yes if I sing the song.
20. Angel on the tree top or a star?
Star -- Funny story: my very first tree that I got when I was an adult. The entire tree was silver and white, even the tree skirt and all the presents were wrapped in silver and white. I got a star that lit up that was white with silver glitter. What I didn't realize was that the lights inside were multicolored. Kris couldn't stop laughing at my face as I plugged in the beautiful white lights and this multicolored star started flashing. It was horrible. Needless to say it got unplugged immediately.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
Christmas morning.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
Traffic near the shopping areas.
23. Favorite for Christmas dinner?
Roast Beef, Yorkshire pudding
24. What do you want for Christmas this year?
I'm getting a house with a dream kitchen that I think is going to take the place of Christmas presents.
