Materials

  • Cork sheets or cork backing for tiles
  • Photos
  • Rubber Cement
  • Polyurethane
  • Heavy Cardboard
  • Sharp Exacto knife
  • Emery board or fine sandpaper
  • Small Easel for pictures or small plate holder

    Instructions
In the middle of the cardboard, cut a 4" square. (This is your template.)
Place the template over your photo, (which you have photocopied or printed from your computer) then draw around it and remove cardboard.
Using the exacto knife and a straight edge ruler, cut out picture.

Cut out 2 pieces of cork about 4" square and adhere together with rubber cement. Or use 2 cork backs for tiles and adhere together. (These are self stick.)

Rubber cement the photo to the top of the layered cork.

Use emery board or sandpaper to round the corners and smooth the edges.

Put 1 or 2 coats of polyurethane over the picture and let dry. Now your photo is water proof and can really be used.
