Change of major?
I don't think I'm going to do the ed program at Western. It's a highly respected one but also very long and pretty boring so I think I'll just graduate a quarter early with a bachelor of the arts in geology. If I decide that I really do want to teach then I'll probably do the master's in teaching program at PLU or maybe Seattle U. This way I'd be out of school in the same amount of time as if I did an undergrad in Ed here at Western and I'd get paid a shit ton more with a masters when I start teaching. Also, I plain old don't know if I want to deal with the politics of teaching. My plan all along has been to run a travel company and take students on trips during my summer break for some extra cash but I think I might just want to do that as my job. My dad and I are going to look over the business logistics of it all this week and see if I could make a decent living doing that. I could totally do a part time job on top of that if I needed extra cash but we'll see how the math all works itself out on that one.
