Given UIGEA difficulties and the shutdown of all the methods I knew to get money online, I decided some time ago to stop playing online. On a lark a bit back, I logged on to my PokerStars account and, wonder of wonders, found $52 there. I have traditionally not done very well online, and decided when I saw this to see if I could figure out why, retool, and then spin it up into something worthwhile.
After some reflection, I decided to do some analysis on single-table SNG strategy; I spent a couple of evenings doing that and started playing $6.50 SNGs. That size tourney has a pretty significant risk of ruin even if my ROI is long-term positive, but I've been doing OK so far. I've taken the $52 up to $198; I'm going to stay on the $6.50s until I'm at $350 or so, then start playing the $16s and go from there.
Goal is to hit $10,000 by 1 July of '09. Any thoughts?
