Well, Jasmine (
dark_skada) got me interested in doll jewellry, and she really does some
amazing pieces like
Lugh's necklace, and necklaces for Kyras and Sisero. But she also inspired me to take a look at my and my mom's beading stash and see what I can do. This was made worse because for one of my classes we were required to make a human-sized necklace. Our styles are very different, and her pieces are far cleaner when completed than mine, but it's just another way I can spoil my boys. XD
(It was also prompted by the fact that Gunnar has found a new home, and while she can continue to make SD necklaces for me in a general size - and I will probably continue to buy and swap for them - not to mention for my Taes, I'd need to make my own chokers.)
These were snapped on a whim in Richmond, so the quality is a little poor, and there's a lot of evidence of experimenting, but here are a few of the older ones. I've got another choker that I need to photograph, because that is definitely what I'm most proud of.
Just a plain wooden bead necklace. I really like the wooden beads, but I underestimated size and it's too tight for SDs. Fits MSDs really nice, though.
Choker for Lugh. Made from glass and stone beads. David got to be the model because he was, well, there. XD
Big set for David, including braided leather necklace with dragon, glass and stone beaded choker, and a glass and metal beaded bracelet. The leather was surprisingly easy to work with, but I need to find more of the leather end clamps. There were only a few that it came with, sadly.
Double loop experiment. It doesn't suit either of my boys, but I wanted to try it larger first before scaling down for Shoku. Looks pretty good on MSDs, too, so I think I'll end up using it for Kirenze when she gets here.
