Kissing Ass Is Something Entirely Different (for colbert_bump)

Joey made a contented sound, rubbing his cheek along the blanket covering Asher's foot. He had both arms wrapped gently around his friend's feet, hugging them to his chest and squeezing his eyes tighttighttight.

Asher had saved her. Yasmine. From his own sister.

He must really secretly love her as much as Joey did.

Gazing lovingly - in a friendly non-gay guy way - up the rest of Asher's body, Joey shifted on his knees to get more comfortable and risked a quick-as-lightning tighter squeeze just so he felt like it was a proper hug. He would never have done this during the day, Asher had glared at him enough times whenever he said thank you. Had even threatened to drown "the damn bird myself" if he ever heard the words again. So Joey had resorted to sneaky methods to show his ongoing gratitude, which included early morning hugfests while no-one else was awake.

Yasmine sat safely in his bed, tucked up by his pillow.

Joey grinned, blinking slowly, trying to make sure he didn't fall asleep down there. He'd chosen feet since, as far as he knew, Asher wasn't sporting any fangs down there.

He still had his best friend thanks to this man. Joey wondered if it was too much to give the feet a kiss. Maybe just one foot. One kiss couldn't hurt. So he puckered up, closed his eyes again and aimed a whopper right at his big toe.

Asher was his new hero. Maybe he'd make him a cape.
