It's ridiculous...

...That I never thought to do this before: I posted in the indie games forums that I've been frequenting since discovering Dyson last week, offering my services as a musician. The forums are full of people working on games of all kinds, including some of the big names on the indie games scene. Already someone has asked me to work on a future project. His latest game isn't great, but I figure I need to start somewhere. Even Rob Hubbard put his name on some terrible games (Samantha Fox Strip Poker?). I should have done this a long time ago if I was serious about becoming a games musician, though.

I was at work today, and I'll be going in tomorrow, too. Granted, I didn't work very hard, but I worked until 9pm three times during the week. It's starting to take its toll!

Anyway, here's a series of text messages between James and I, describing something that happened in town:

Me: "I just had a guy shout 'Jesus!' and give me the thumbs up from a passing SUV! A black guy called me Jesus the last time I was in Coventry, too!"
James: "Do you have a big crucifix on your back?"
Me: "Actually, yes! It's cut from cheap MDF that I got from Homebase. I'm also sporting a crown of syringes!"
James: "Why do you get called Jesus? It's weird. Is it some 4chan meme that I haven't seen yet?"
Me: "Haha, I don't think so! I'm guessing it's entirely because I have long hair and a beard. And to a lesser extent because I'm the saviour of mankind."
James: "You're also a performer of miracles. Just last week, you turned a Ferrero Rocher into a fish. Which made everyone at the party pretty annoyed."
Me: "I walked on water earlier, too! Well, I was balancing on a swan."
