I went to London yesterday. I managed to get there on time, too, which is unusual for me these days. I missed my train by a considerable amount when I went to Guildford last weekend.
I was waiting for Sarah in King's Cross station when my Mum phoned me, to inquire about the possibility of visiting me at Easter. A whole 12 seconds later, Sarah arrived, so I had to be rude and carry out a conversation on the phone before I could greet her properly.
We tubed it to Notting Hill Gate, and after checking cinema times and buying tickets for Juno, we went to get Sushi! It's odd to think that I haven't had Sushi since around the end of November.. It was like revisiting an old friend! My selection wasn't very interesting this time, though, just lots of tuna and salmon. Really nice, though!
We were a little late for the start of Juno, being as we'd nipped into Tesco to buy a tub of Ben & Jerry's, followed by McDonalds for some spoons. It was a quest that felt a bit like being in a point-and-click adventure. The movie was really good; it had an acerbic humour that I wasn't quite expecting, and it didn't layer on the sentiment too thickly. During the movie, several scoops of ice-cream turned into projectile weaponry in an attempt to lever them free of the tub, all of which were aimed at Sarah (And only one fired by me, I hasten to add). I got a bit on my shirt too though, somehow. The moral of the story is, don't eat ice cream in a darkened room.
Afterwards, we made our way to Hammersmith to check out Tiger, which was closing as we arrived, so we only had a few minutes to scoot around. T.K. Maxx had slightly later opening hours, and I ended up buying a pair of shoes. Not the pink wellies that Sarah fancied, but a pair of black-and-camo Quiksilvas with orange laces. I do like orange.
We tubed back to King's Cross, where we parted, and I got home shortly before 8. I was tired. I am tired. I should go to bed.
