I'm proud of this, my finest culinary achievement to date. It makes my old homemade pizzas look like someone squatted over a plate.
James came to Cambridge yesterday. We: ate at Pizza Express (Probably a 7/10 overall. Plus points for food and jazz music, negative points for minuscule dough balls and slightly aloof waiters), bought some books in Borders (James got Neil Gaiman's American Gods, and I finally found somewhere that sells the Azumanga Daioh manga, so I bought volume 2), went clothes shopping (Mostly fruitless, though James bought an expensive top), spoke to Ash on the phone, had some stuff at Starbucks (James gave his coffee 9/10, and I had an excellent blueberry muffin, deserving of an 8/10. Starbucks got 2/10 for being a stinking dump, though) and had a brief look at one of the college campuses, before returning to the station. Overall, it was a great day, and our humour has come on leaps and bounds. I felt bad that James ended up having to go all the way to Kings Cross before being able to get a train back to Hatfield, though..
Today I tried again to get some CD storage furniture from Argos, and failed miserably. A teenage girl with quite a bad acne problem (which she had carelessly covered over with a thick coating of makeup) initially told me that I couldn't have them delivered ("Don't you have a car?" "Well, no.. and I live 20 minutes away."), then spoke to someone and told me that I could. She didn't seem to be able to specify a date to have them delivered on (And I know you can, because it's mentioned in the catalogue), and it has to be a Saturday, because I'll be at work otherwise. So, she recommended I come in two days before I want them delivered and order them then... At any rate, I went into town after that, and cancelled my deposit on the Wii (I'm going to order it online instead), and bought FOUR XBox games: Psychonauts, Alien Hominid, Ninja Gaiden, and Broken Sword: The Something-or-Other. £20 the lot, but it's time moreso than money that I'm lacking at the moment. Why did I buy them?
