L Word season 5 episode 2 *I love SHO*

O-M-G! I just finished watching last night's episode of The L Word, and WOW wasn't this epi made of AWESOME!

Lots of Shane, so much fun -as it usually is-, sexy -usually is too-, great perfs overall -no surprises there either.

* Doing the hair of the bridesmaids, almost kissing the bride and ending up with the bride's mother. Classic Shane. Makes girls on TV crying, makes girls watching their TV happy. Ah television works in mysterious ways.

* Helena in prison. Agreed, the girl stands out like red on rice. But by God isn't she fun.
Most laughable moment? When at the end she's making out with Dusty ...

Helena: "You were defending someone, right? Or maybe it was a set up ... has someone framed you?
Dusty: "Nobody framed me!"
Helena: "I'm sure whatever it was, you didn't mean to kill anyone!"
Dusty: "I didn't kill anybody!"
Helena: "You didn't?!"
Dusty: "It was tax fraud!"
Helena: "Oh. Oh! Awwww!"        LMAO

* Phyllis. Now that she's got the lingo down, she decides that maybe U-Hauling with her gf is not what she wants - the girl just wanna have fun, proof that there's no age limit on these things --> wiiiiiiiild Phyllis! You GO girl!

* TiBette. Mmmmm I can smell what the rock is cooking. These two are SO not over.

* Jenny. OMG, I just wanna slap her real hard in the face. She's the one I think audiences love to hate. She's become so fucking self conscious now, with her upcoming film, her assistant, her rat of a dog ... it's actually painful and very fun to watch at the same time. Kudos to Mia Kirschner, because of all the characters on the show she's by far the most complex one to play.

* Tasha. Well, needless to say that the military's 'don't ask, don't tell' policy concerning homosexuality is a touchy issue -and certainly one that needs to be addressed -and was a couple of weeks ago (see one of my older posts for that).
"Homosexual conduct"? What century is this? Since when does your sexual orientation affect the way you do your job as a soldier? This country has a problem -and yes I can't stress enough on "this country", because apparently homosexuality is not that much of a problem in Europe. So, things need to change.

Tasha: "I've dedicated my life to the military!"
Beech: "I'm sure you have ... but allegations like this are almost impossible to disprove, mostly because they end up being true. Then once they're out, the military doesn't want you anymore, which is understandable, don't you think?"

0_o   HEL-LOOOOOOOOOOO!

Rose Rollins is pitch perfect, btw. Her character is the strong, silent -yet very sensitive- type. I like her calm countenance, the way she always looks like she's assessing her surroundings, her thoughtfulness.

In a nutshell, The L Word manages to address current issues affecting society (regardless of your sexual orientation) all the while maintaining audiences hooked with the necessary amount of craziness, fun and sexiness (there again, regardless of which team you're on- come ooooon! WHO is not kinda sorta strangely 'attracted' to Shane, huh? And be honest *____* that's what I thought) ... all of these things being the necessary ingredients that will ensure that out of all the L words out there, LONGEVITY is the numero uno.

The L Word deserves to be renewed -I hope pray it will be.

YAY!
