Semi-Formal
I got home at 2:30, so this may require some editing. Bear with me.
So I got to the island at about 7:15, met Laine and we got a ride to the Holiday Inn on King+John from her friend Suham (sp?). She was really nice and a super-duper cautious driver... Im NOT ungrateful. Just not use to the ... cautious...ness.
anywho! So I was already dressed but Laine, Suham and this other girl (Jenny methinks) were not, so we hogged the bathroom for like... 35 minutes during which time 2 people came in and stared at us funny for about a minute before getting over the sight of 3+1 girls getting ready in a hotel bathroom.
We finally got to King's Ballroom--I think that's what it was called-- went in, split up, and I watched as everyone took pictures of everyone. Then I joined in and also took pictures of everyone.
After a little while, I met Donny. Donny reminds me of someone--I can't quite put my finger on whom. So my verdict: He seems very nice, very tense and very confused. All the time. Yea, it was amusing because Laine kept fucking with his mind and making him even more confused and then acting innocent about it (... wow... you are EVIL XD). I attempted to play good-cop because I felt kind of bad, and told him not to worry about it because she was just having fun messing with him.
We danced to really BAD music for a while and then not SO bad and then really really REALLY bad music after that. My attempt to sway the DJ to change the music didn't really do shit. Dumbasses. -_-
All in all, we had a good time, but everyone was sort of sad that there was no alcohol. Le suck. Laine was the most disappointed. Whine whine no alcohol whine whine. Can't blame her though, it would have been a lot more fun and insane.
Oh yea, Adam (their super.) got drunk-ish and went around telling all his underlings that he loved them. He probably thought I was also an employee because I was part of the crowd, so I got some love too. xD
Oh also, as a side note, I talked to Ben (sorry Ashley) who really IS a big comic book geek (omg teh AWESOME srsly) and who really IS that pretty up close. >_< once again, I apologize Ash. I have pictures of THE striped Jacket which was the most creative outfit EVER. ok... maybe not but it was great anywho. He triggered the C.B. craze-- I'm jonesing to get to Merril.
