To sting or not to sting?
So, The Police are coming to Cardiff (what? here? a reunion?).
Gen and I really, really want to go....I mean, it's The Police, they're legendary!. However, their ticket prices are also legendary....£85!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. That's even more than Madonna charged! I know that we'll get some decent support bands (the Foos are opening in the US for them!) but its still very, very expensive. I think we'll probably end up going but damn, how did shows get so expensive.
Mind you, Pearl Jam tickets for London were double what i paid for a ticket to see them in Manchester just seven years ago. Does that mean that by the year 2014, an arena sized gig ticket is going to cost £80? probably.
I'm off work this week. I should be sorting out that back bedroom right now but I needed more coffee. I have made a start already but I came across some scripts I wrote back in University....one of them is actually quite good :-) Gen isn't off this week unfortunately as she had no leave left. I had to take these 5 days just so I can get my leave down to 10 days which is the maximum I can carry over to next year next month. She did have yesterday off though as we went to see The Killers on Monday night. A good show. They played really well but got a bit boring towards the end of the main set but the encores and glitter cannons were cool. I don't know much of the new album...only listened to it a couple of times.
A new album I am loving right now is the new Idlewild record which is awesome. Back on track doing what they do best which is make melodic, punchy rock....my favourite album of this year so far. Okay, it's only competition has been the lame album from The View but don't let that detract from how great a record it is.
been easing myself into the world of driving, just a few short runs here and there....getting used to our car. It's a whole different ball game driving for yourself rather than to pass a test I've found.
Right, it's 10 o'clock and I have junk to go through so I'd better get a move on.
