When I lived in La Jolla it was easy to go out to see harbor seals on the beach. I only ever did when people were visiting though ... I haven't been to the aquarium in years, I always like seeing the otters there.

Berkeley has no otters, but november should be cold and foggy enough to see the true side of the city.
