Most people do big changes, one at a time...

To any  LJ friends who might not have completely given up on me!

The vast majority of people would sensibly make the biggest of life changes, one at a time...gradually & not all at once!  Silly person that I am...I went & changed every single thing in my life, all at once... I'm still reeling from all the events of the past year, but I did want to ( Read more... )

Welcome, back from Ireland, my dear Trekchic! It made my day to receive your message & your wonderful icon!

Yes, life has been progressing at warp speed since our last chat, but it sometimes feels like no one is in the "Captain's chair" of my life & I've definitely been passing through lots of strange, new worlds! Where is that "damn" Picard, when you need him most to be guiding the ship?!!

Also, you might be surprised to hear that I'm currently living near your childhood neighborhood. If you're ever in the mood for a return visit to Eddie's Sweet Shop, just let me know?! It's been great exploring Metropolitan Ave again & the old neighborhood still has too many great eating options!

As for the biggest change in my life, it seems that I've somehow acquired a British "captain" of my own!! He's even from the same region in England, as a certain other Captain!

I also thought of you & your Mom recently, as I went past Greenpoint to visit Williamsburg for a music concert. Of course, we couldn't leave there without a terrific Polish meal !

I do apologize for being such a negligent & absent friend, since we last spoke on the phone. I do hope that you received the belated birthday greeting that I left for you a month ago? It was under your post about receiving an iPhone for your birthday.

I really look forward to hearing all about your latest adventures & I hope to catch up fully, very soon. I promise to either write again or call soon. Until then, I send all my best to you & the family!

With Hugs, Love & Smiles!--HT

So how is married life treating you? You told me about your British Captain the last time we spoke and you were going at warp speed then.

Thank you, I did get your birthday greeting.

We were in Williamsburg just last month moving my younger son into his apt. It's such a great, area.

I'm glad things are going well, if a little rushed, for you. We're all good here.

No need for apologies between friends, life just gets busy sometimes.

*hugs* to you and congratulations:)

What a difference a year & a half makes! My life is almost the complete opposite of when we last met... "Sadie, Sadie, Married Lady"...that's me! Married life to a British Captain will include some residency issues to deal with (these "Federation" laws are really something!) , but at least there is lots more laughter in the house now!

I'm so glad to hear that your youngest son is now in Williamsburg... such a fun place to be! I hope to get back there for another visit soon.

I'm extremely glad to hear all the good news... many thanks for sharing those gorgeous pics of Ireland... one of my favorite places in the universe!

I look forward to catching up some more very soon...
Meanwhile, your congratulations & hugs are cherished & many thanks for being such an understanding friend!!

With Biggest Smiles & a Bit Of Brit In The House!--HT
