Hee! You could always fly over and meet us *g*

Okay, maybe that's asking a *little* much...

(Did you see the clip of RSL at the awards the other day, btw? Seems to me the Shape Shifter thing's been at it again! He was looking rather well padded :)

*shocked*

Hee! Yes, I noticed the *ahem* roundness. Time to hit the gym, RSL - although I love the explanation above XD

Sigh, I was waiting for the seemingly-not-to-be House convention *mopes*

I've been meaning to ask about that. I thought perhaps I'd missed it while I was away during the summer. Was it cancelled, then?

I have no real idea - I'm not sure if you know about the drah-ma, but it split into two camps, one for Anaheim, LA, the other for Princeton. And then the Anaheim one was going to be October last year. And then Feb this year. And then the website disappeared and was never heard from again! IMO it was a complete shambles from the beginning.

And then the Princeton one promises "before the last season of House" or something like that. Which, you know, I think Hugh has signed on for seven in total. So my expectation that a con will ever take place is exceedingly low...

Ahaa! Ta v. much for the info :) Last I heard (ages ago now), I thought they'd settled on Princeton, and that a date had been fixed for the summer.

It doesn't sound as though there's going to be one, but I'm glad I've not missed it because it would be a real blast to attend and meet peeps :)

Wow, it's cold here this morning. Well below freezing. I bet you're BBQing as we type, and topping up your tan, right? *g*

Hee, well it's after dark and today was freeeezing (okay, probably not by your standards, but it in no way could be described as 'warm') so it's not quite the best example. It's the summer that wasn't, so far!

And while we're rambling *g*, I didn't know you were a JB fan. I gave up on TW, and never really liked Doctor Who since Tom Baker left *g* but it seems to be a Huge Thing :)

Tbh, I'm a little ambivalent about JB.

I saw all the fuss about Torchwood and started watching, and there was a stage at which I did think he was teh sex *g* (though not as much of teh sex as old Wilsie, of course), but then I read his autobiography and it rather put me off. It wasn't the stuff he'd done in his life, which was interesting, but the way the book was written: full of little footnotes which were in turn full of little double entendres. Not that I have anything *against* double entendre, but it seemed to me to become laboured, and unfunny, and almost a little puerile. So in fact I've not actually watched the last 3 episodes of (was it) S2 of Torchwood. I must get round to it at some stage, as I did d/load them (or did I delete them... hmmm ( ... )

Tom Baker? I never liked him!

Sorry? Do I know you? Just as well I'm not a rabid Doctor Who fan or I'd... glare at you ;P

See, JB isn't even attractive to me. He's... too pretty? And worse, he knows it. Which for me adds up to ick. I guess I'm saying I'm not completely surprised by the tone of the book as you report it! I gave up TW after the first few eps of S2. If Spike came back I'd totally watch it though XD

I would go see JB as an excuse to meet up with other LJ's, though! It's not like I hate him. I'm just not... particularly impressed with him. (Although I will say he is completely amazing singing Cal in The Fix) ;)

Was Spike the bloke with whom he had the extremely passionate kiss in (I think) the first episode of S2? Now that was teh hawt, I thought :) I spent the remaining episodes waiting for that bloke to return, but he never did.

I hope there won't be a lot of singing in this Panto *g* Another of my oddities is that I don't like musicals unless I'm already familiar with the music, because I rarely enjoy hearing a piece of music on first listening, and, indeed, can be reduced almost to the point of wishing to go out and mug a granny when being forced to listen to music I don't like. Heh...

(Hmmm... I hope the others aren't reading this! Not to worry, peeps: I promise not to murder anyone next week. Well, unless very severely provoked, of course.)

*contemplates sharp little crubeens*

Yes, "Spike" from Buffy the Vampire Slayer aka James Marsters aka "Captain John". I was so disappointed because I thought he was going to join the cast rather than guest star *g*

Hee! I'm the opposite - I prefer to watch musicals first rather than listening to them on CD becaus I can never get my head around the plot properly without the rest of it. Pantos are such an English thing to me, although I did go to some when I was very little. You know, all that "behind you!" stuff XD

ME TOO! What a swizz :(

There's *plot*??? Um... I seem to have given up watching for plots these days. I seem to spend most of my telly time counting seconds until Wilson comes on *g* When House is over I can rarely remember what the story was about, hee hee

*is the shallowest of shallow things*

Hee - I'm glad it's not just me. I can usually remember vaguely what happens to the main cast, but the POTWs are usually just blurs XD
