What system do you need to operate it? My computer can't find the program to open it up with and run it.

Hmmm... well I'm using Vista (ugh) at the moment, but when I used it in the past I was using XP.

I've only installed the backup/search one so far. Which file are you downloading? I went for the EXE.installer (the first one at the top of the list). I downloaded it to my desktop and double-clicked, and Windows just ran the installation file.

Is that what you've tried to do? If so, what message have you had?

Well, that's probably why. I've got a Macbook, and I don't think I've got the default application for EXE.installer to run on loaded on it. When I try to open it, it gives me an error message and asks me to either choose an application to open it in or quit. I don't know which application it runs with, so I don't know what to open :/

Ahaa :(

If I were you I'd go over to the ljbackup_dev community and read around/ask for advice, as there are sure to be lots of other Mac users on LJ right now wanting to backup. It's here. Best of luck!

From what I've seen on lj so far, there is no way to backup or move your journal if you work with mac. This prog won't work for you.
But it's worth to keep looking around, maybe somewhere there is a way.
